2008 Dodge Challenger Pics

Man am I pumped for this car to come out. I do drive a Camaro as I've shown you before, but this car is going to smack around anything I've ever driven. The concept car has been announced to have a 450 Hemi V8 in it with 400+lbs. of torque. Finally they are going to bring some real power to Dodge without a high price tag (announced to be between $25-30,000). Compared to the Viper, thats a steal! Here's some pre-release pics:

Crazy Flippin' Cat

This is a picture my brother just sent of my his new cat. At first I thought it was a picture of some lab accident but it was really his kitten. The scary thing is he doesn't actually keep it in a cage so it's free to run around his house while he is sleeping. I don't know about any of you but I wouldn't trust that thing to watch while I'm catching z's! Do any of you have crazy cats like this one?

Awesome Optical Illusion

I was going to wait until tomorrow to post this, but it's just so darn cool. Stare at the thing in the middle like it says for like 30 seconds and then it will tell you to look away. Look up at the tv or a friend right away it is so cool!

As seen on Break.com

Weights & the Dog

Of course the mother didn't want the weight bench in the house so you can see the effect of rain damage on the weights. On the plus side, you can tan while you lift outside!

All my dog ever does is stare!

From the Yard

Sun through the Palm in my side yard.

Bouganvilla Flower - I learned about these working in the Target Garden Center ( Yes in the desert, and in the middle of summer too!) If you want to live in an hot/dry climate like we have here, then these plants are the ones you want. They require very little water, bloom very well, and come back every year!

Birds and Water

These birds were hanging out on our fence/brick wall in our backyard. I was able to get within a few feet of them and they didn't even flinch!
I thought this shot was just cool so I posted it. It is a picture of the sprinkler for our above ground pool.

How do you stay in shape?

I took this picture in my back yard at night and made it a negative using Irfranview. Basketball is always a great option for getting some exercise. What is your favorite way of staying in shape?

After the Monsoon

Now this is what the view of the mountains is really like from my upstairs porch. Much different from the monsoon pic in the previous post eh? The amazing part is that I took this picture right before I went to work, which was only an hour and a half after I put up the last post!

"Have You Ever Seen the Rain?"

Usually you would be able to see the Catalina Mountains perfectly from this view on my upstairs porch. However, there is so much rain you can't see more than 100 feet in front of you!

10 minutes before this picture it was just a little cloudy outside but there way absolutely no
rain. It really does pour! Also notice the stream of water running from the gutter on the left side of the pic and the little river on the right.

Ever since July 4th, my dog Shadow has finding his new hiding spot next to our downstairs toilet. So much for being protector of the house!

I will be posting pics tomorrow after the storm to show you how the desert really looks on a good day. If you are really interested in how it is out here, just request pictures of different things and I'm sure I could get them. Also, any comments in general would be great! Check back soon!

The Birth of the Blog

So I'm driving to Albertson's to return a movie today and the rain that my parents had warned me about decided to finally hit. If you live in Arizona, you know what monsoon rains can be like: inability to see, instant floods, sliding all over the road. While going through this crazy experience, I had a thought pop into my head about making a photo blog. I have been looking for a fun topic to blog about for a while, and have not put my very nice digital camera to use for some time, so I figured what the heck, I'll start taking some pictures and writing about them. I picked up some batteries at Albertson's (A 24 pack of AA's to be precise), practically skated home through the rain, and got my camera ready.

I plan to take pictures of things that I find interesting about my day, about where I live (Tucson, AZ), or anything that just may seem like a good photo opportunity. In my second post, I am going to put up some pictures of how it looks outside today so those of you who don't know much about monsoons can get a good perspective. Enjoy the blog!
